Suko Davies, RN
Float Rider from Huntington Hospital
Suko has worked at Huntington Hospital for 30 years, 18 of those years in Critical Care/ Cardiology and 12 in the Emergency Department. She graduated from Pasadena City College nursing school in 1982.
Suko chose to become a nurse because she loves being able to comfort and help people in need. When Karen Knudsen, BSN, RN, ED Manager was asked to describe Suko, she stated the following- “Suko embodies everything that “Nursing” represents. She is compassionate, caring, and kind. Suko is passionate about the art of nursing and being able to have a meaningful impact on those that she cares for. ”
How Suko Was Selected as a Float Rider
In May 2012, Huntington Hospital inaugurated the DAISY Award program to recognize nurses for excellence in care. Suko, was one of 5 nurses who were selected for the month of May. In June of this year, we held a luncheon to honor our June recipient. During this event we announced our sponsorship of the Nurses float and Bonnie Kass, our chief nursing officer did a blindfold pick from the nurses that were awarded in May. Suko was selected and we are proud that she will be representing Huntington Hospital.
