Float Rider from The American Assembly for Men in Nursing
Bob Patterson has over 30 years of nursing experience in various clinical and leadership roles. Currently, he is the Administrative Director at the California Institute for Nursing and Health care, a non-profit organization dedicated to developing solutions that build and sustain a quality nursing workforce. Additionally, he is active in the California Campaign for Men in Nursing, which is contributing in the crusade for priorities for men in nursing in California. He is co-producer of Men in Nursing: Strong, Proud, Independent, a high school recruitment video, which has received national recognition. Patterson was the 2012 recipient of the Association of California Nurse Leader’s Best Practice – Recruitment, Retention, and Outreach award.
How Bob Was Selected as a Float Rider
The Nurses' Float was blessed with an anonymous donor and the board had heard of Robert's contribution to the profession—in particular his influence in educating men about entering the profession. He is instrumental in the growth of the America Assembly for Men in Nursing.
